Dates for camp in 2027 are July 11th-19th!

We are so excited to have our campers back in just a few weeks!

Lutherwood will also be sending drop off/check in information to you with parking and driving details, but the time for drop off on Sunday July 19th is 3:30-5:00PM.

Camper Pick Up and Closing Concert is on Friday July 24th

11am-12:30pm BBQ Lunch

12:45-1:30 Elective Demonstrations

1:45PM Final Concert (Bring blankets and chairs and sunscreen) 

A few packing details specific to our music camp (in addition to what Lutherwood has on their list)

-Your instrument (duh!) as well as any stuff that you need to make it operate (cork grease, extra reeds, slide spray, etc) UNLESS YOU ARE A PERCUSSIONIST! Percussionists: bring any sticks/mallets you have and we will supply the rest.

-Any music you are working on and may want to perform for the talent show, or ask for input on from any of our music coaches (that includes original compositions!)

–A music stand! We will have some extras… but not enough for all 100 campers!

-Clothespins–no, not for your clothes, but for you MUSIC! Many rehearsals and sectionals happen outdoors and clothespins are great for securing your music to your stand!

We frequently get asked about whether students should bring a Bible (this is often on the standard Lutherwood camp list)… the answer is, no. This camp is secular, but most of Lutherwood’s camps aren’t and so their standard packing list includes that detail.

Camp will be held Sunday-Friday this year with a Friday Concert in the afternoon.

Camp Dates are July 20-25th

Hello, LSMC Families!

If you RSVP’d at drop off to join our farewell BBQ please be here around 11am. Following lunch, campers will take you around to show off the skills they gave learned in their electives this week.

After this, we will have our Final Concert at 2PM on the basketball courts. We encourage you to bring blankets and low chairs for sitting on, umbrellas or other shade, and a cool drink as you relax and enjoy the beautiful music of the choir, band, and orchestra.

The cost of camp is $650 with a $50 discount for early bird registration (before May 1st) and a $40 sibling registration discount.

Drop off will be on the afternoon of July 9th, and our closing concert (friends and family invited!) will be on the 15th around 2PM.

We will have a concert for family, friends, and neighbors at 2pm on Saturday July 16th. Please plan to attend and take your camper home afterwards.

Costs:

The cost of the camp is $575.  There is an early bird discount of $50 for applications before April 15th and a $50 sibling discount.

Hello everyone!

We’re thrilled to your kids this week! Couple of reminders:

1. Please arrive with a vaccine card or a negative COVID test within 72 hours. This is required by the Whatcom County health department and the American Camp Association.
2. Drop off is 1 – 3 on Sunday, July 11th
3. Pick up is 11 am – 11:30 on Saturday, July 17th

Below is the Lake Samish Music Camp packing list!  Please download, print, and pack accordingly!

Lake Samish Music Camp Packing List 2021

The Packing List:

• Sleeping bag and pillow
• Two towels
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen (including face protection)
• Raincoat
• Clothes for 1 week (undies and socks, too!) Shorts may not be shorter than fingertips.
• Soap and personal toiletries (don’t forget your toothbrush!)
• Warm jacket (it gets cool at night)
• Plastic bag for wet clothes
• Flashlight and batteries
• Swimsuit (Girls: Please wear one-pieces or tankinis)
• Tennis shoes
• Insect repellent
• Sunglasses
• Flip-flops/water shoes/sandals for showers and at the Waterfront
• Optional: Snacks for Free Time that will be kept in the Canteen

Leave at Home:

• Cell phones
• MP3/CD players/radios
• Video games, tablets
• Any other electronics

• Guns/knives/weapons

All the Music Supplies:

• Folding music stand
